What We Are

The Carolina Veterans Alumni Network (CVAN) is an affinity club under the Carolina Alumni Association at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC). Our aim is to serve as a bridge between military service and the Carolina experience, fostering relationships among veteran alumni, current student veterans, and the broader UNC community.

Guided by shared purpose and mutual respect, we work between two core questions: How do we keep veterans connected to UNC? And how does UNC continue to demonstrate its commitment to those who have served?

Who We Are

CVAN is led by veteran alumni who are dedicated to serving others and strengthening the bonds between the members of the Carolina military-affiliated community. Our Executive Committee includes an Executive Leadership Team — our President and Vice President, who provide governance and strategic direction — alongside Service Officers who drive the core functions of our organization.

Together, we’re building a network that honors service, fosters camaraderie, and creates lasting impact for Carolina veterans — past, present, and future.
